about
Marc Ambrosia will release his 3rd full length studio album Edge on October 28th. It’s the singer’s first LP in almost three years and one that finds the songwriter exploring more esoteric musical ground, while also continuing to explore his knack for writing catchy and captivating tunes . The latter is especially true of “Million Little Reasons,” the latest track to be previewed from the upcoming album.
“Million Little Reasons is me admitting to walls I put up in relationships,” Ambrosia says. “Things go unsaid, because the fear is always in the back of my mind that I’ll reveal too much about what I perceive as my own shortcomings and those will send someone away.”
“I’m insecure, but I don’t want you to know that,” Ambrosia sings in a shy, yet revealing manner. “Truth is I’m broken, so long ago I lost my way/ somehow you’ve got it all together, there’s not one loose feather, so I keep quiet… hoping you think I’m the same.”
Having previewed the song to close friends and fellow artists, including a Judy Stakee songwriting retreat, Ambrosia says, “I can tell it’s resonating with people; when I get to that line, ‘you believe in me more than I believe in myself and it haunts me, cause I don’t want to let you down,’ there’s a very ‘aha, that’s it’ type response from the listener.”
lyrics
I like distance
I like keeping space
Between us
I'm a little hard to find
You don't have to seek when i hide
I'd rather not tell what's on my mind
There's a million reasons for things i can't say
There's a million reasons
I guess i'm just a stupid boy
And your hearts my favorite toy
There's a million little reasons
I'm insecure
But i don't want you to know that
You only see the best in me
How am i gonna measure up?
Truth is i'm broken
So long ago i lost my way
Somehow you've got it all together
There's not one loose feather
So i keep quiet, hoping you think i'm the same
There's a million reasons for things i can't say
There's a million reasons
I guess i'm just a stupid boy
And your hearts my favorite toy
There's a million little reasons
You believe in me more than i believe in myself
And it haunts me, cause i don't want to let you down
There's a million reasons for things i can't say
There's a million reasons
I guess i'm just a stupid boy
And your hearts my favorite toy
There's a million little reasons
There's a million reasons for things i can't say
There's a million reasons
I guess i'm just a stupid boy
And your hearts my favorite toy
There's a million little reasons
Ooh, ooh, million little reasons
Ooh, ooh, million little reasons
Ooh, ooh, million little reasons
Ooh, ooh, million little reasons

With Edge, his upcoming third studio album, Trendsetter Award winner Marc Ambrosia didn’t set out to write songs that would
be considered “hip” or “current,” but rather “timeless” and “treasured.” Musically, the loop driven songs hypnotize. Lyrically, the conversational confessions mesmerize.
Edge is set to be released in full on October 28, 2022....more
Michael Fredericks is an awesome artist from my hometown - Clayton, NJ. I can't get enough of his songs. Especially love "That Day," "Don't You Remember," and "Ran Away." Marc Ambrosia
