Shoes 02:58
SHOES Words by Marc Ambrosia Music by Marc Ambrosia and Chris D'Antonio It’s not unusual to reminisce Remember when, or think about past time It’s not a fault that lies within our hearts it’s just the years that tie us to the ones we know They hug us one last time and say goodbye before the fire dies and then we all go home Still thinking back on all the years and how we’re gonna face the future on our own Step into the shoes that fit you best Hold onto the memories, never forget It’s hardest to go when you're not ready to leave The biggest distraction is turning the key Oh, you think you’re ready Oh, you know you’re ready Oh, you’re really ready But I’m still not sure Can’t help but feeling after all this time there still might be something more Something that I never told you then, but something that I need to tell you now Growing up beside you, you always made me smile, you always made me better, and you make me proud Step out, step out, step out into the shoes Step out, step out, step out do what you choose Step out, step out, step out into the shoes Step out, step out, step out do what you choose now Step out, step out, step out into the shoes

Nineteen 04:43
NINETEEN Words by Marc Ambrosia Music by Marc Ambrosia and Ronnie Danino I’ve never been someone people could easily trust I’ve always mistaken someone’s broken heart for something resembling lust And that rock on the water will somehow appeal to me And I will decide if I throw it, or save it for keeps If you work 9 - 5 you’re bound to go far, so they say But the meaning of life and fruition of dreams knows more than one time tested way Oh, the heart is a driver and passion is gasoline But you have be me I suppose to truly believe Cause this ride of life is so fragile With it’s edges and it’s holes The power plays and deception And the struggle for control Into the circling altar where the saints have their say You have to grow up at nineteen, there is no other way I tried to be social, I ended up staying alone I got myself up, walked through the fire And still found my way through the smoke The fire’s deconstruction may have burned through the surface of love But the flames slowly turned into white after burning above And before I get older I just want to lie in this bed Remember the nights where I couldn’t shut down, and all of those thoughts in my head I wanna picture the nightmares and fairytales that played through my mind And then run with the baggage into the uncertain times

OUTSIDE THE LINES Words by Marc Ambrosia Music by Marc Ambrosia and Chris D'Antonio It was late July and the fireflies were making their appearance It was her and me, nobody else, no need for interference We were on the beach as the sun went down, along the rocky jetty The water rose, sand beneath our toes, love was there and we were ready Color me the way you always thought you’d wanna see me Yellow, orange, indigo, you can even green me So bright, might kiss you tonight Oh no, don’t go I’ll miss you in the moonlight Color me the way I feel when I’m with you ...outside the lines We were lying down and she said to me, “I think I’m finally happy” I almost cried when I saw her eyes staring right back at me When we started walking she was leading me til I started walking faster And then I stopped and said to her,“you’re my happily ever after”

Part of Me 04:36
PART OF ME Words by Marc Ambrosia Music by Marc Ambrosia and Ronnie Danino Part of me is excited, part of me is sad The time in life I've spent with you is the best I ever had Oh, part of me is dancing But part of me is still Everyone gets older, some things never change All these transformations illustrate the current phase Oh, part of me is singing But part of me has no song Part of me knows only the shadow of the past few years But part of me knows figures of the next new joy and next new tear But somehow I'm moving through a dozen shades of the same old thing And somehow I know life is good and life goes on Adventures tell the story Of a million dreams gone by These feet are substitutions for the wings allowing flight Oh, part of me is soarin' But part of me is down The water in the river is showing me a face Where once there was a child A strangers in his place Oh, part of me is timeless But part of me has changed

Every Day 06:38
EVERY DAY Words by Marc Ambrosia Music by Marc Ambrosia and Ronnie Danino There was never a question Of finding the answer Somehow we knew we’d get it right Yesterday's collected to throw us into motion To sink, swim, or survive, sweetness and light And all those boys and girls would smile, knowing what it means And to all those on the outside hurting, they can redeemed Every day I’m looking into hourglasses Discovering all the bridges I’ve burned Every day I stare into imagination It’s amazing how the tables turn No explanation could show you the science Of what it means to grow into your own And no ancient theory could prove a distraction To the play by play to where you’re thrown There is more to revelations than we’ll ever really know Sometimes there’s just one answer and the answer is to go Spirits collide, bringing a mystery Of what the road will be on the other side There’s an image, a glimpse of what is coming But you can’t trust what’s only in your mind

MYSTERY OF WHY Featuring Alexandra Ortiz Words by Marc Ambrosia Music by Marc Ambrosia and Ronnie Danino Unequivocal sense of healing ...how did I get here? In the middle of the story Almost feel like it’s all been told and done ... told and done You played your part so well like I did ...genuine heartbreak Left before the pieces shattered, left before the earthquake had it’s way ... couldn’t meet me halfway I wanna find a way to realize Form a strategy to theorize Pinpoint the way, crack the code, and unwind The mystery of why ...the mystery of why Plans can change their course without you ...settle into place What I thought wasn’t ordinary Reveals itself in ordinary ways ...ordinary ways Stay behind the velvet shadows ...hide where no one sees But safety there is temporary Closure comes through phases and degrees ... take it from me You knew better so you walked away, that’s the reason that you couldn’t stay You knew better so you walked away, that’s the reason that you couldn’t stay You knew better so you walked away, that’s the reason that you couldn’t stay That’s the answer... to the mystery

TAKE GOOD CARE OF ME Words and Music by Marc Ambrosia You’re here at the bottom with nothing left If you wanna save me, save yourself If you feel like leaving, you better think twice It’s too late to roll the dice Meet your match, take your stand Never surrender the upper hand Don’t lose grip on the wheel Everything you do is everything I feel Love and life are like war and peace But peace knows neither one of these And sometimes a struggle is as good as it gets You take what’s given nonetheless This is my prayer, this is my plea, take good care of me Who I am is who you made me I was born your little baby You tried to teach me how to love And now I’m grown and love ain’t enough Don’t hold back, it shows your fear Gotta keep going, persevere You only get old if you lose control You only lose control if you lose your soul Isn’t it hard to stand up when you’re choose to fall? Your bridges all burn, you lose it all Isn’t it hard to stand up when you’re choose to fall? Your bridges all burn, you lose it all Isn’t it hard to stand up when you’re choose to fall? Your bridges all burn, you lose it all

LOVE LIKE ROCK N ROLL Featuring Megan Knight Words by Marc Ambrosia Music by Marc Ambrosia and Chris D'Antonio Inside a bottle there’s a rocket ship It’ll bust through the glass by a fingertip Ready to fly, but it stays inside Defying the odds by not subdividing Feels like trouble, but it feels so good Never thought I’d find a woman who could say she understood Here I lay with my paper crown You come and lift me right up off the ground I wanna love you like rock and roll Something familiar and unusual Pour into me, I’ll pour into you I’ll be your rhythm, you can be my groove I wanna love you like rock and roll Out on the edge there’s uncertainty Here in my heart is where you’re gonna be Tripping up on some ancient wrong Is never gonna change what I’ve known all along This kinda love is a wild thing It doesn’t need forgiveness, it doesn’t need a ring Everything is said before the words come out Love fueled by devotion has no need for doubt

Footprints 05:38
FOOTPRINTS Words by Marc Ambrosia Music by Marc Ambrosia and Kyle Abramov A wound from you hurts so much more than a wound from someone else I really don’t wanna lose you, but I don’t wanna lose myself Choices aren’t that easy and life just ain’t that good When I’m lying awake, up all night cause I’m not doing what you think I should Something says run, but you pull me back Taking all the colors and making them black Here’s where I stand, there’s where I’ll go Where will you be, do you believe in me? Footprints are geography, follow mine and stay with me ...come away with me ...don’t you ever leave Footprints are geography, follow mine and stay with me ...come away with me ...don’t you ever leave All my inhibitions find themselves in you All I’m trying to do here is finally break through There’s always a higher mountain, this bridge I too shall climb But I can’t bear for you to look at me and not like what you find My love is like a candle that helps you find the way Don’t stand in the darkness, that was yesterday

LITTLE SONG Words by Marc Ambrosia Music by Marc Ambrosia and Chris D'Antonio For Anthony Jr and Layla Transitional shades of blue O’er the sky tonight Holding your hand, stroking your head Keeping you in her sight Here on the surface Your infinite purpose To show us what love really means Add a surprise in the midst of our lives Fulfilling unknown fantasies You’ll never know the difference that you’re making Or the way you rearranged every wrong step that I’ve taken You make everything clear, I thank God that you’re here And this little song is your’s Simply sublime as the nursery rhyme Whispering ‘round in your mind Hope is the water, you are the river Wrapping us up in your tide You could take us away to the place where we’d stay As happy as we ever were Internalizing the ancient horizon While making your way ‘round the earth I never believed in what I couldn’t see My courage would hide in my fear Then you showed me a smile and you laughed for awhile Now I know how a miracle feels I’m not a kid anymore cause you’re opening doors And I am along for the ride Steady the safety, it’s me that you’re saving It’s you and I side by side

about

This album is more than a collection of ten very special songs, it’s a collection of perfect moments captured at just the right time. Thank you to the musicians who played on this record and provided it with stellar moments of pure, authentic talent. And thanks also to Jamie Myerson, who captured each moment and helped me craft this collection called, Footprints.

There is a saying that reads, “lose yourself in the music.” Ever since I first heard that, it has stuck with me. However, I prefer the saying to read more like this - “lose yourself in the music... and find yourself there too.” Throughout this album, I hope you do just that. Lose yourself in these songs and find yourself in them too.

This record is for everyone who has ever believed in me, don’t stop.

Special thanks to Alexandra Ortiz, Megan Knight, Dana Aversa, Luis Diego Millan, Joy Masi, Nick Vicente, Kitty Miller, and my dad - Ron Ambrosia

about

Marc Ambrosia New Jersey

With Edge, his upcoming third studio album, Trendsetter Award winner Marc Ambrosia didn’t set out to write songs that would be considered “hip” or “current,” but rather “timeless” and “treasured.” Musically, the loop driven songs hypnotize. Lyrically, the conversational confessions mesmerize.

Edge is set to be released in full on October 28, 2022.
